Welcome to Awana at Boulevard Park Presbyterian Church in Burien! We are very excited about starting a new club year with you as a part of it! Thank you for entrusting your children to our care and leadership. We will do our best to plant God’s Word in their hearts as we strive to make this year fun for all of us. We pray that this will be a year of fun and, most importantly, a year of spiritual growth and understanding for your children.
Awana is an international, Bible-centered youth ministry helping churches and parents worldwide raise children and youth to know, love and serve Christ! We do this with fully integrated programs for children ages 3 (potty trained) to 18. There are clubs for each age group. The program goal is to reach boys and girls, and their families, with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him. Awana stands for Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed, taken from 2 Timothy 2:15.
At Awana, we play games, hear great stories, sing, and work through our official Awana handbooks, learning about God's Word. Children have the opportunity to earn patches, “jewels” and other awards as they achieve certain sections in their books as well as scripture memorization in a fun, relaxed setting.

Awana clubs meet on Tuesday night from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, September through May.
If your child is new to Awana, he or she will receive a fun introductory club brochure. After completing these brochure requirements (over the first couple of weeks), the child will be presented his or her uniform and handbook, so parents should be sure to place the uniform and handbook order ASAP, to allow time for these items to arrive (and be presented).
Each week clubbers earn points if they:
- · are in uniform
- · bring their Bible (if your child does not have one, please let their leader know)
- · bring their club brochure or handbook
- · bring a friend
Our clubs start on September 15 this year, but we always welcome new clubbers.
